MOELOGO has just released his eagerly anticipated fourth EP titled ME with Platoon. The South London singer, songwriter, and musician’s latest project is a perfect blend of afrobeat, R&B, pop, and palmwine sounds, underpinned by compelling storytelling and rich distinct vocals. We caught up with Moelogo to talk about his new project.
AC: Let’s talk about your new EP ME. What does this body of work mean to you?
MOELOGO – I’m always excited about releasing new materials. I’m sharing a part of me and giving my fans my best.
AC: In the studio, do you have a fear you’d like to conquer?
MOELOGO – Not at all, I love it there…I’ve mastered the studio.
AC: What about outside of the studio?
MOELOGO – Outside the studio, I love it but I need to be on those various stages a lot more so I can showcase my full potential.
AC: Where does the creation of a song begin for you?
MOELOGO – I start with conversations and then I move to creating different types of melodies and I kid you not it’s done. Once the right melody kicks in…we have a banger.
AC: What was it like working with Priimebeats and Sesstheprblm on this record?
MOELOGO – Working with Priime and Sess was swift and beautiful because they both understand, and they understood where I was going with this new EP. That for me is an amazing feeling when those you’re creating with are just alike.
AC: Who do you feel inspired by in the music industry?
MOELOGO – I inspire myself and I mean that day in, day out.
AC: As a music artist, what are you still trying to learn?
MOELOGO – I’m trying to learn more patience. That’s the ultimate key.
AC: Everyone seems to have an app idea at the moment, what’s yours?
MOELOGO – An app that will link artists to producers or any type of creative in all industries that genuinely like their work and would love to work with each other.
AC: How important is social media to you right now?
MOELOGO – Social media is a major way for me to promote and have access to my fanbase across the globe.
AC: Ahead of a gig, do you have any pre-show rituals?
MOELOGO – I pray and get it done.
AC: What do you want the world to look like in 10 years?
MOELOGO – What it will and should look like in 10 years.
AC: If you had the chance to put something on billboards worldwide next week, what would it be? Or what would it say?
MOELOGO – Go and listen to my new EP ME and share it everywhere.
